Many of you, that have already integrated the Ping Shen method in your clinical practice, have expressed the wish to be able to share the basic techniques with your patients and others.

In order to ensure that the quality of the Ping Shen method stays at a high level I have decided to initiate a traininng and certification program so that you, your patients and your colleagues know that you are an approved and certified practitioner and trainer of the Ping Shen method and Tong Shen Ming treatment strategy.

The program has three modules. Each of which is composed of 3 weekends. Those that participate in the program, pass the exams and case studies will be listed as Certified Ping Shen trainers and Tong Shen Ming Therapist  on the Ling Shu Institue Website.

Die „Tian Di Ren San Ci Bu Xie“ („Einnadel-Behandlungsmethode“) kombiniert die bewusste innere Haltung des Akupunkteurs („Xin Fa“) mit klassischen Nadel- und Behandlungstechniken, wie der Nadelung der drei Schichten “Himmel-Mensch-Erde” (Tian-Di-Ren), der Dreifach-Nadel-Methode (San Ci Fa) dem „Dao Qi“ Konzept (klinisches De Qi) und dem Ping Shen Stil („Tong Shen Ming“).

Nur mit einem ruhigen und klaren Geist des Therapeuten und jeweils einer einzigen Nadel lassen sich die Bewegungen des Qi exakt wahrnehmen und klinisch einsetzen. Hierfür verwendet man so genannte Ping Shen-Akupunkturtechniken. Das Verständnis des Phänomens von “De Qi” orientiert sich dabei an den Akupunkturklassikern Su Wen, Lingshu, Jia Yi und Nanjing, geht also weit über ein modernes TCM-Verständnis hinaus.

Lernziel
Nach Abschluss des Seminars sind Sie in der Lage, das Spektrum der Einnadel-Behandlungsmethode sicher und wirksam in der Praxis einzusetzen. Hierzu zählen die entsprechende Punktlokalisationsmethode, das Gua Sha , die Ping Shen- Behandlung sowie verschiedene klassische Nadelungs- und Moxatechniken.

Dozent: Donald B. Halfkenny, B.Sc., Dipl. Acup., C.M.D. (USA), M.I.T Fellow (Community Fellows Scholar), begann bereits 1970 in Boston/USA Akupunktur zu praktizieren. Seit 1974 unterrichtet er an verschiedenen amerikanischen und europäischen Schulen sowie Aus- und Fortbildungszentren. Er war unter anderem Mitbegründer und Regionale Vize-President der American Association of Acupuncture und Chinese Medicine und National Acupuncture Association, Präsident der Acupuncture Foundation of New England und

Co-Direktor der New England School of Acupuncture. 10 Jahre lang studierte und assistierte Donald Halfkenny bei Dr. James Tin Yau So (Cho Yan So), der wichtigsten Vertreter der Cheng Dan-an Akupunktur Tradition „Tian Di Ren San Ci Bu Xie“ („Ein-Nadel-Behandlungsmethode“).

Einige wichtige Stationen seiner über 47-jährigen Berufslaufbahn waren das Boston City Hospital sowie das Boston South End Community Health Center, deren Akupunkturabteilungen er leitete. Am Boston Mayor’s Co-ordinating Council on Drug Abuse und am Massachusetts Department of Mental Health war er leitender Therapeut und Mitbegründer der Abteilung für Drogenentzug durch Akupunktur. Als Mitglied der Intercultural Cancer Council (USA) engagiert er sich seit langem in der Hospizbewegung und Palliativmedizin.Er ist Gründer und Leiter des Ling Shu Institutes für Klassische Akupunktur und Chinesische Medizin, Mitglied des AGTCM, Mitautor des Leitfaden Chinesische Medizin (Elsevier Verlag) und Autor verschiedener Fachbeiträge, unter anderem beim Naturheilpraxis. Sein Wissen gibt er heute unter anderem auch

innerhalb der AGTCM weiter.

The „Ping Shen“ and „One Needle Style“ and method belong to the lineage tradition of classical acupuncture and chinese medicine. Historical references to the treatment concepts and techniques underlying the „One Needle“ and „Ping Shen“ styles can be found dating from the period of the Warring States 475 BCE – 212 BCE, and Jin (Qin)-Dynasty 221 BCE. Their diagnostic,clinical and treatment techniques are based upon and found in the classsical medical texts of chinese medicine, especially the Ling Shu, Su Wenn, Mai Jing, Jia Yi Jing, Da Cheng and Nan Jing.

The Ping Shen treatment method is a „Dao Qi“ or clinical De Qi approach. Its treatment techniques are referred to in documents  deaing with the “Way of the Heart”, the role of the Heart and Shen, and the spiritual focus of the practitioner. It is one of the traditional  “Way of the Heart” (“Xin Fa”) treatment methods mentioned. Its roots are to be found in the traditional Daoist, Yogic and Buddhist texts. Its goal is to enable the clinician to affect a change at the level of the roots of the Shen in him / herself and therefore positively affect the course of the treatment. “It is treatment at the level of 1”.

The One Needle Style is a classical acupuncture treatment style and strategie (“San Ci Fa”) whose goal is to restore the body’s ability to sustain health.

The acupuncture treatment consist of inserting and manipulating an acupuncture needle at different depths in the skin. Theses levels are called Heaven and Earth, or Heaven, Mankind and Earth in the classical text and relate to the various levels of influences and substances inside the Body.

Each of these levels influence and address different qualities of Qi and Blood in the body respondsible for the maintenance and restoration of health. According to the classical texts, by consciously using these levels in combination with the characteristics of the points it is possible to invoke an extremely differentiated and effective treatment response with the goal of causing a specific change or correction in the flow of various dynamic biological processes, resulting in the restoration of the patient’s health.

Forms of treatment

„The authors of the Ling Shu visualize nothing less than the Great Acupuncturist. They know that the good practitioner’s diagnose is a connection from deep within himself to the Spirits of the patient, which are showing signs recogniizable to the practitioner. There is a free communication between Spirits. The signs percieved by the acupuncturist are the different observable states of the Breaths, which themsellves depend upon the Essences. The attentive and properly oriented human spirit quickly and infallibly interprets the rapport of the Essences / Spirits (Jing-Shen). Thus he goes at once to the seat of the malady, which will be the place where he intervens…….This is what permits him to go with his Spirits to the Spirits of the patient….Each time that this deep level where the Essences / Spirits reside is touched by the healer, the vitality ying qi is restored.“ Rooted in the Spirit, Claude Laare, S. 06

The “Ping Shen” treatment method is a „Dao Qi“ or clinical De Qi treatment method. It is a “Way of the Heart” (Xin Fa) treatment method.

Though we are all familiar with the statements that the heart is the source of life, that it has function but no form and is respondsible for controlling and maintaining the harmony of all of the organs and functions of the body, we usually see these statements as having a more theoretical than practical clinical relevance.

In reality exactly the opposite is true.

The Ping Shen treatment method is a heart based „Dao Qi“ or clinical De Qi approach. Dieses Seminar richtet sich an Heilpraktiker und Therapeuten, die in der Schmerztherapie effiziente Lösungen kennenlernen möchten. Und auch an werdende Heilpraktiker, die Interesse und Lust haben, manuelle und osteopathische Techniken kennenzulernen. Statische Veränderungen des Körpers führen oft zu funktionellen Beschwerden. Sie lernen, wie wir dem Körper Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe geben können. Gemeinsam werden der Bewegungsapparat und die wichtigen anatomischen Strukturen betrachtet. Beschwerdebilder werden besprochen und aneinander wird geübt, wie diese zu behandeln sind. Weiterhin betrachten wir die diagnostischen Möglichkeiten, die uns mit den Händen zur Verfügung stehen.

Wenn jemand mit akuten Rückenbeschwerden in unsere Praxis kommt, ist Feingefühl gefragt. Ist das nun die
Bandscheibe oder vielleicht doch nur ein Hexenschuss? Klären wir unsere Patienten auf: Informiert zu sein und
ein besseres Gefühl dafür zu bekommen, was einem passiert, ist oft schon ein erster Schritt zur Besserung.

Inhalte des Seminars:
• Anatomischen Grundlagen, die für unsere Behandlung wichtig sind.
• Fühlen, wie unterschiedlich Gewebe sein können.
• Techniken und Behandlungsmöglichkeiten lernen.
• Was dürfen wir NICHT? – Kontraindikationen.
• MRT Bilder und wie man sie liest.
• Medikamente, die unsere Behandlung unterstützen.

Der Dozent
Rüdiger Britten, Heilpraktiker in eigener Praxis seit 2008, begann seine Ausbildung 2005 mit der Chinesischen Medizin, Dorn Breuss und der Fussreflexzonentherapie. In einer 5-Jährigen Assistenzzeit, parallel zu seiner eigenen Praxis, erlernte er die Arbeit mit dem Bewegungsapparat. Er ist ausgebildet in Akupunktur nach der Klassischen Chinesischen Medizin, Funktioneller Osteopathie, Chirotherapie und Manueller Arbeit (www.praxisbritten.de).
